Steck Elementary School PTA Fun Run, Saturday September 27, 2014 from 9:00am to 10:30am

PURPOSE:
The Steck Elementary School PTA is requesting permission to conduct a Family Fun 5K Run on September 27, 2014 from 9:00am to 10:30am. All proceeds will be for the PTA Fundraiser.
BACKGROUND:
This is the 5th year for this event and the organizers are expecting to attract approximately 500 participants and utilize 30 volunteers.
DISCUSSION:
NA.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
The event will start and end at Steck Elementary School. Set up is 7am-9am and breakdown will be 10:30am-11:30am. Nothing beyond Aurora Police Dept. roadblocks is needed (see attachments for route map). There will be a vendor fair on the school playground. The event organizers will need to get approval from the Fox Valley Park District for use of the Waubonsie Creek Trail.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Please forward to the Government Operations Committee for review and approval.
