A Resolution Appointing Mike Baum to the Aurora Civic Center Authority (ACCA).

WHEREAS, the City of Aurora has a population of more than 25,000 persons and is, therefore, a home rule unit under subsection (a) of Section 6 of Article VII of the Illinois Constitution of 1970; and
WHEREAS, subject to said Section, a home rule unit may exercise any power and perform any function pertaining to its government and affairs for the protection of the public health, safety, morals, and welfare; and
WHEREAS, an opening currently exists on the Aurora Civic Center Authority; and
WHEREAS, it is the Mayor's desire that Mike Baum be appointed to said Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Aurora, Illinois, hereby approve the appointment of Mike Baum, Aurora, IL as a member of the Aurora Civic Center Authority.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the term of Mike Baum shall expire on September 30, 2017; however, in any event, the appointee shall continue to serve until their respective replacement has been approved by the Council.
