St. John United Church of Christ is requesting closure of the 300 block of Fifth Street on Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.

PURPOSE:
St. John United Church of Christ is celebrating the 130th anniversary of the church.
BACKGROUND:
They had a similar celebration back in 2014.
Activities planned are food, deejay, dancing, children's games and tours of the church and Peace House.
DISCUSSION:
Street closure is requested for public safety. There are no direct City costs associated with this event.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Street Department to deliver barricades to Fifth and North and Fifth and Kingsbury on Friday September 2nd and pick up on Tuesday, September 6th.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
I request the proposed event be forwarded to the Government Operations Committee for review and approval.
