PURPOSE:
To terminate Special Service Area Twenty in accordance with the terms of Ordinance No. O92-94.
 
BACKGROUND:
Ordinance No. O92-94, as adopted on November 19, 1992, allowed for the creation of Special Service Area Twenty authorizing a levy of up to fifty-one dollars and thirty-one cents ($51.31) per linear front footage of all property within Special Service Area Twenty for a maximum period of twenty (20) years.
 
DISCUSSION:
In accordance with the terms of Ordinance No. O92-94, termination is warranted since the total cost of the project funded by Special Service Area Twenty has been paid in full and no further levy is needed.
 
IMPACT STATEMENT:
There will be no negative impact upon the termination of Special Service Area Twenty.
 
RECOMMENDATIONS:
I am recommending that this item be referred to the Finance Committee for consideration at the January 7, 2014 meeting.
