PURPOSE:
A Parking Study for 220 to 298 Port Royal Circle to determine the warrants for installing No Parking signage.
BACKGROUND:
A resident submitted PS # 2975963 expressing concern for vehicles parked too close to the northern intersection of Port Royal Circle and Frontenac Street. .
DISCUSSION:
Port Royal Circle is classified as a residential roadway, measuring the standard 29.5-ft in width. Parking on either side of the roadway is scarce with most curb being filled with entrances to double-wide driveways about 20-ft wide each. The south-west corner of the intersection has suitable curb, but parking is prohibited by the presence of a fire hydrant. Parking on the south side is also restricted by yellow curb.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
APD resources for Parking Enforcement.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends random selective APD parking enforcement.
