A public hearing as required by the Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Act to consider the proposed first amendment to the City of Aurora’s TIF No. 8 (East Farnsworth TIF)(PUBLIC HEARING)

Ordinance 016-002 was approved by Council January 26, 2015. It is titled “An Ordinance Calling for a Public hearing and a Joint Review Board Meeting to Consider the Expansion of the Redevelopment Project Area for the East Farnsworth Tax Increment Financing District (TIF District No. 8) and an Amended Redevelopment Plan and Project for the East Farnsworth Tax Increment Financing District (TIF District No. 8) in Relation Thereto”. This Ordinance set up the framework by which the City-owned property at 2065 Bilter can be included in TIF No. 8. A Joint Review Board meeting has been held, and this is the next formal step in the process. Once this Public Hearing is adjourned, the City Council can then in the future consider adoption of the ordinances pursuant to the TIF Act to get the property into TIF No. 8.
