PURPOSE:
St. Paul's Lutheran Church is requesting approval to hold a 5k run walk to raise money for scholarships in Seth Egger's memory.
BACKGROUND:
This is the first year the event is being proposed.
DISCUSSION:
St. Paul's Lutheran Church is responsible for all costs associated with this event. The 5K is expected to run until approximately 9:30am and the awards ceremony will be afterwards. The organizers were informed that approval for use of the pavilion is needed directly from Park & Recreation. 300-400 participants are expected and 40-50 people will be helping.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Requesting use of parts of Phillips Park from Parks & Recreation for the dedicated 5K park route and services from the Aurora Police Department Traffic Control Division.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Please forward to the Government Operations Committee.
