PURPOSE:
The Fischer Middle School PTSA is requesting permission to hold its annual Family Fun Run for community building and school fundraising.
BACKGROUND:
The Fischer Middle School PTSA has held the Family Fun Run for the past 3 years around Waubonsie Lake. 165 people participated in 2015.
DISCUSSION:
The Fischer Middle School PTSA is planning to hold this proposed event around Waubonsie Lake, which is Fox Valley Park District land and subsequently will require the organizers to get permission directly from the Park District. A short portion of the route is on City property. The organizers are expecting 150 people to participate this year and 20-30 staff/volunteers to help. The Fischer Middle School PTSA is responsible for all costs associated with holding this proposed event.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Alderman Mervine usually helps out with this proposed event.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Please forward to the Government Operations Committee for approval.
