A Resolution Authorizing Presence Saint Joseph Hospital to Provide An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for the Period of January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2018.
PURPOSE:
To obtain approval for the service agreement with Presence Saint Joseph Hospital to provide an Employee Assistance Program for all City of Aurora employees.
BACKGROUND:
In past years we have offered City of Aurora employees an opportunity to use the Presence Saint Joseph Hospital's Employee Assistance Program. This resolution continues an Employee Assistance Program for the benefit of the City of Aurora and its employees by establishing and implementing a mechanism to assist, counsel and support employees who have personal problems that may, or may not, affect their job performance. Based on the budgeted annual expenditure of $26,000 we are requesting approval at City Council.
DISCUSSION:
The attached agreement overlaps the prior agreement that expired December, 31, 2016 with Presence St. Joseph Hospital to provide an Employee Assistance Program. The current agreement is effective January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2018, which includes a two year automatic renewal provision. Approval is needed to compensate Presence for their ongoing EAP services through December 31, 2018. EAP continues to be an exceptional partner and has been providing services to the City to date. That the City Council approves the resolution authorizing the continuation of its service agreement with Presence Saint Joseph Hospital Employee Assistance Program.
