PURPOSE:
To determine the possibility installing DEAF CHILD handicap signage on Stoughton Circle.
 
BACKGROUND:
A concerned resident submitted a request to the Alderman's Office for DEAF CHILD signage on Stoughton Circle.   There is no such sign there now.
 
DISCUSSION:
When evidence is presented showing the presence of a resident handicap child with a problem that drivers should be warned of, appropriate handicap signage may be installed.
 
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Operation Department would be required to install one 'Deaf Child' sign.
 
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends approval.
