A Parking Study for Central Park Lane behind restaurant. Ward 10, Alderman Johnson.
body
PURPOSE:
A Parking Study for Central Park Lane behind restaurant to determine the warrants for added parking restrictions.
BACKGROUND:
A Resident submitted ACR Case ID 126304 expressing concern about vehicles parked illegally on the inside of the Central Park Lane curve behind the restaurant. They expressed concern that parked cars combined with the curve made the roadway difficult to negotiate.
DISCUSSION:
Central Park Lane is only 27-ft wide, which is below the city standard and per ordinance can be considered for parking restrictions. The north side is already restricted parking. However, the radius of the curve and the nature of the roadway allows for additional restriction considerations on the south side of the roadway.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Operations would be responsible for installing the NO PARKING signage.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends NO PARKING be added to the south side of the roadway in the curve area.
