Requesting Permission to close Chestnut between Galena and 19 S. Chestnut on Sunday, September 7, 2014 from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm for New England Congregational Church to stage it's Fall Fest.

PURPOSE:
This is a "kick-off" celebration for members and friends of New England Congregational Church.
BACKGROUND:
The event is in its 4th year and includes face painting, inflatables, children's lawn games and a picnic style lunch. They are expecting approximately 100 attendees and utilize a minimum of 20 volunteers. Event hours are from 10:00 am to Noon with set up beginning at 8:00 am and clean up complete by 1:00 pm.
DISCUSSION:
There are no direct costs incurred to the City with this event.

City services requested:
Streets-drop off 6 class one barricades to the corner of Galena and Chestnut on Friday, September 5th and pick up Monday, September 8th.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
I request the proposed event be forwarded to the Government Operations Committee.
