body

PURPOSE:

A Traffic Study for the backyard fence of Alyce Lane bordering the E. Indian Trail approach to the signalized intersection at N. Ohio Street.

BACKGROUND:

A Resident on Alyce Lane submitted ACR Case ID 115014 requesting a Traffic Study for the backyard fence of Alyce Lane bordering the E. Indian Trail approach to the signalized intersection at N. Ohio Street.  They requested a guardrail to protect their backyard fence.

DISCUSSION:

The E. Indian Trail approach has a six-inch curb.  No skid marks or evidence of smashed fence was observed.   While the intersection has experienced some crashes, there is no warrant for installing guard rail in this location.

IMPACT STATEMENT:

No action required.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

 Staff recommends denial.
