PURPOSE:
A Traffic Study for Tara Belle Pkwy in the 1300 to 1400 block to determine actual speeds and traffic volumes.
BACKGROUND:
A Resident submitted PS # 2412375 expressing concern of speeds on Tara Belle Pkwy and requesting Traffic Calming.
DISCUSSION:
Tara Belle Pkwy is classified as a neighborhood residential roadway with a 25 mph speed limit. Tara Belle Pkwy has sidewalk on both sides as well as curb and gutter. The roadway is 29.5-ft wide without any parking restrictions. Traffic counters on Tara Belle Pkwy revealed an ADT of 2,100 VPD. Speeds were found to average 29 to 30 mph, with a 85th percentile of 35 mph and a median of 30 mph.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
No impact at this time.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends acceptance of Traffic Study (Tara Belle 05 2017).
