PURPOSE:
To allow Trash Dumpster access between Monomoy Street and the trash blind on the north side of 717 N. Gladstone Avenue.  When this walkway is inadvertently blocked by parked vehicles, trash pickup is often postponed or the dumpster left in the street.  
 
BACKGROUND:
A resident submitted ACR Case ID 95521 expressing concern that the large dumpster for the multi-family building at 717 N. Gladstone Avenue.  Trash Haulers usually roll the dumpster north over the walkway and onto Monomoy Street for a waiting dump truck.  Often the walkway is blocked by a parked car; the dumpster must be rolled out over the soft grass and dropped down over the curb onto the street, where it remains indefinitely. The dumpster needs to be returned into the dumpster blind on the north of the building.  
 
DISCUSSION:
Staff recommends placing a 'No Parking'  with an arrow pointed east to the dead end on the south side of Monomoy.  The sign should be located 5 feet west of concrete walkway.  
 
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Operations will be required to install sign.
