PURPOSE:
A Parking Study for Haversham Drive, just south of Bennett Place, to prevent High School students from parking on the north end of the block.
BACKGROUND:
Alderman received resident complaint for High School students parking vehicles on Haversham Drive, just south of Bennett Place, making it difficult for trash pickup and school bus travel.
DISCUSSION:
Haversham Drive is classified as a residential roadway, 27 feet in width, with a 25 mph speed limit. Vehicles were observed parking on Haversham Drive, just south of Bennett Place, on both sides of the street, reducing the traveled way to less than 18 feet. There are existing High School NO PARKING 7 to 9 AM ON SCHOOL DAYS signs nearby, on Bennett Place.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends installing NO PARKING 7 to 9 AM ON SCHOOL DAYS signage on the west side of Haversham Drive, between Bennett Place and 1454 Haversham Drive.
