SUBJECT:title
A Traffic Study to Consider STOP control at the intersection of Lyndhurst Lane and Eastwick. Ward 9, Alderman Bugg
body
PURPOSE:
To Perform Traffic Study for a STOP sign installation on the Lyndhurst Lane and Eastwick Lane.
BACKGROUND:
An ACR request (Case ID 84488) was submitted for the possible installation of a stop sign on Lyndhurst Lane at Eastwick Lane. The requester expressed concerns over poor line-of-site due to cars parked up to the corner, making visibility poor at that intersection. .
DISCUSSION:
The intersection has no Stop signage, Parking regulation signage, nor Yellow Curb markings. Both roadways are residential with low volumes. Rather than a STOP sign, staff recommends NO PARKING HERE to CORNER signage, with Yellow Curb on Lyndhurst Lane approaching Eastwick Lane.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Operations will be required to install new signage.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Install No Parking Here to corner signage to improve line-of-site for the Lyndhurst approach as weather permits.
