SUBJECT:title
A Traffic Study in the 200 block of N. Loucks Street for the installation of VISUALLY IMPAIRED CHILD signage.  Ward 2 & 7, Aldermen Garza and Hart-Burns
body
PURPOSE:
To consider the installation of VISUALLY IMPAIRED CHILD signage at 250 N. Loucks Street.

BACKGROUND:
A resident submitted ACR Case ID 95073 expressing concern that VISUALLY IMPAIRED CHILD signage by their house would improve safety for their child.

DISCUSSION:
The 200 block of N. Loucks Street is classified as a Residential street.  The Speed Limit is commonly known as 25mph.  Parking is allowed on both sides of the street, causing traffic to slow to make room for approaching vehicles.  Nevertheless, even with ideal conditions, VISUALLY IMPAIRED CHILD signage may improve safety for their child.

IMPACT STATEMENT:
Funding will need to be provided to Operations.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends installation of VISUALLY IMPAIRED CHILD signage at the above address, according to city regulations and standards.
