PURPOSE:
A Traffic Study for Roosevelt Court to determine traffic speeds and volumes.
BACKGROUND:
A resident submitted PS # 2815621 expressing concern over traffic speeds on Roosevelt Court.
DISCUSSION:
Roosevelt Court is classified as residential, and is a one-lane paved alley. Roadway width is one lane and only 11 to 12-ft wide. The alley terminates on Claim Street to the north, and Flagg Street on the south. Neither intersection is controlled with a Stop or Yield sign.
Traffic counters on Roosevelt Court revealed an ADT of 30 VPD. Speeds were found to average 12 mph. No vehicles had speeds over 23 mph.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
No action at this time.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends acceptance of traffic study.
