A Parking Study of Lawndale Avenue concerning Parking Restrictions, Ward 6, Alderman Saville

PURPOSE:
To determine the optimum parking restrictions on the stretch of Lawndale Avenue from Lake Street to Wilder Street.
BACKGROUND:
An ACR Case ID 79396 expressed concern over the parking restrictions for Lawndale Avenue from Lake Street to Wilder Street. Both sides of Lawndale Avenue have NO PARKING ANY TIME restrictions.
DISCUSSION:
Resident submitted a petition for the removal of some of the parking restrictions on Lawndale from Wilder to Lake Street.
The current condition of no parking either side is not required. The removal of the restriction on the south side would not create a safety concern.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Operations will be required to remove existing signage.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends removal of No Parking restriction on the south side of Lawndale from Lake Street to Wilder with standard intersection restriction retained.
