PURPOSE:
A Traffic Study for the Lundquist Drive and Shenandoah Drive intersection to review the warrants for STOP signage.
BACKGROUND:
A Resident submitted PS # 1880540 requesting a 3-way Stop at the Lundquist Drive and Shenandoah Drive intersection, and possible traffic calming for Lundquist Drive to the south of the intersection.
DISCUSSION:
The two roadways are both classified as Minor Collectors with speed limits of 25 mph.
Both roadways are 29.5-ft. in width. ADT for Lundquist Drive is 1,000 VPD, while the ADT for Shenandoah Drive is 1,350 VPD. Lundquist Drive was found to have an average speed of 28 mph, with an 85th percentile speed of 33 mph. Shenandoah Drive was found to have an average speed of 27 mph, with an 85th percentile speed of 31 mph.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
No action at this time.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends installation of a 3-Way Stop at the intersection of Lundquist Drive and Shenandoah Drive and acceptance of the Traffic Study.
