Alpha Media USA is requesting permission to stage the third annual Cock-a-Doodle Brew Fest on Saturday, October 7, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. at the parking lot at 201 N. River Street.

PURPOSE:
This event is brings an entertaining craft beer & food festival to downtown Aurora, promotes the radio station and is a fundraiser for the Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry.
BACKGROUND:
This is the third year for this event which drew 1,500 last year and expects approximately 2,000 this year. Revenue is used to offset the cost of the event and supports the Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry.
A Certificate of Insurance has been received and a Music Festival Permit has been applied for.
DISCUSSION:
Activities are much the same as last year. The bands have yet to be booked, they anticipate two again this year. There will be beer sampling and music along with food vendors and trucks.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
City services requested are:
Use of lots A & W for attendee parking
Barricades dropped off to block off the X and Y lots on Thursday, October 5th and pick up on Monday, October 9th.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
I request the proposed event be forwarded to the Government Operations Committee for review and approval.
