A Resolution authorizing the appointment of Michael Lippman, Shirley Payne, and Ana Diaz to the "Aging-in-Community Advisory Board" (AICB).

BACKGROUND:
The City Council approved the creation of the Aging-in-Community Advisory Board in March of 2024. The board was created in tandem with Aurora's participation in the Metropolitan Mayor's Caucus' "Aging in a Changing Region" program. The findings of this program were outlined in an Aging in a Changing Region Guide, which was presented to the City Council in April of 2024; and included the recommendation that the city create a board.

DISCUSSION:
The initial six members were appointed in October of 2024. Staff and the board have worked to identify candidates for the remaining three seats, which are being brought forth today.

The candidates are listed below:

- Michael Lippman is a resident of the ninth ward and currently a Social Commission Member at the Lincoln Prairie Del Webb Community.

- Shirley Payne is a resident of the sixth ward and the owner of James Paynes Funeral Service.

- Ana Diaz is a resident of the seventh ward and is the Senior Account Manager of MedTec Senior Day Center.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff respectfully requests approval of these appointments.
