SUBJECT:title
A Traffic Study for the Montrose Drive and Savoy Court intersection. Ward 9, Alderman Bugg.
body
PURPOSE:
A Traffic Study for the Montrose Drive and Savoy Court intersection to determine the need for STOP signage.
BACKGROUND:
A Resident submitted ACR Case ID 132950 requesting a Traffic Study for possible installation of STOP signage at the Montrose Drive and Savoy Court intersection.
DISCUSSION:
The Montrose Drive and Savoy Court intersection is an unregulated intersection with no STOP or YIELD signage. Both roadways are Residential, and narrower than the city standard at only 27-ft. in width. Savoy Court "T"s into Montrose Drive.
Traffic volumes and crash history do not warrant an all way stop. To clarify right of way a stop sign is recommended on the Savoy Ct approach to Montrose Drive.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Operations will be required to install a single stop sign.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends a single stop sign be installed for the Savoy Court approach to Montrose Drive.
