PURPOSE:
To investigate driver confusion while entering the Westgate Plaza apartments.
BACKGROUND:
A Resident submitted ACR Case ID 118087 complaining that drivers entering the Westgate Plaza apartments often entered their driveway by mistake. The homeowner also stated that his car had been hit at least once due to this activity.
DISCUSSION:
The Resident driveway is not immediately next to the entrance to Westgate Plaza, but it is close. The Residents' drive approach is two lanes wide, concrete, and in good condition
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Operations would be responsible for installing the signage.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends 'Private Drive' sign on Illinois Avenue for 642 Redwood Drive.
