A Resolution Authorizing the Appointment of Adrienne Holloway as the Chief Innovation Officer.
PURPOSE:
To obtain authorization to appoint Adrienne Holloway as the Chief Innovation Officer.
BACKGROUND:
Adrienne Holloway was hired on June 19, 2017 to serve as the Chief Innovation Officer for the City of Aurora. Adrienne most recently held the position of Assistant Professor for DePaul University's School of Public Service. She also provided consulting services, offering strategic communication, government and community relations, and marketing services to public, nonprofit and corporate sector clients. Adrienne has a bachelor's degree from Fordham University, a master's degree in Public Administration from Baruch College, and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Northern Illinois University.
DISCUSSION:
A proposed reorganization of departments and divisions has been requested in order to improve efficiencies within the organization and customer service for the public. As a result and in accordance with the City of Aurora Code of Ordinances, a newly created position, the Chief Innovation Officer, will be designated as a department head, and appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the city council.
