SUBJECT:title
A Parking Study for Oakfield Court.  Ward 9, Alderman Bugg.
body
PURPOSE:
A Parking Study for Oakfield Court to determine if a parking restriction is needed.

BACKGROUND:
Resident complaint received regarding vehicles parking adjacent to the circular median island, in the cul-de-sac, near 2426 Oakfield Court, making traffic flow difficult as well as emergency vehicle access, snow plowing and trash collection. Resident is requesting No Parking signage.

DISCUSSION:
Oakfield Court is classified as a residential roadway, 26 feet in width (within the cul-de-sac), with a 25 mph speed limit. There is a circular median island, in the cul-de-sac, which vehicles park adjacent to and reduce the cul-de-sac traveled way, making it difficult for traffic flow.

IMPACT STATEMENT:
Street Department resources.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends installing NO PARKING signage in the cul-de-sac median island.
