Requesting approval for Hills Banquet Hall to have a Music Festival as part of their 2018 Tardeada Mexicana event to be held on Saturday, September 22nd, 2018
PURPOSE:
Hills Banquet Hall is located at 649 Hill Avenue, Aurora, IL and will be holding their Festival event on Saturday, September 22nd, 2018. As part of the Tardeada Mexicana event, Hills Banquet Hall would like to have live musical entertainment, which requires City Council approval prior to the issuance of a permit.
BACKGROUND:
As part of their celebration, they will be offering live entertainment.
DISCUSSION:
Our office has received a completed application for this event, including a certificate of insurance, event layout, performance bond, and the Assembly Operational Permit Application. An inspection of the site will be conducted prior to the event.
The event will take place on the Banquet Hall grounds, at 649 Hill Avenue, Aurora, IL. The proposed hours of operation for the Festival are from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with the proposed hours for music and live entertainment being from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is my recommendation that this item be referred to the Government Operations Committee for their next meeting on August 28, 2018. This will ensure review and passage by the City Council prior to their event
