Halloween "Trick or Treat" Hours: Friday, October 31, 2014 from 4:00pm to 7:30pm.

PURPOSE:
Requesting that all people participating in "Trick or Treat" Halloween activities in the City of Aurora, abide by the suggested hours of 4:00pm to 7:30pm recommended for safety purposes.
BACKGROUND:
The City has utilized this time frame for the past 7 years.
DISCUSSION:
Requesting that the hour's policy be one that the City can put forth to the public through Customer Services, the Aurora Police Department, Community Relations/Public Information, etc.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
The general public planning to participate in the Halloween "Trick or Treat" activities are strongly encouraged to use as many safety measures as possible (i.e., wearing clothing visible in dark, taking precautions during pedestrian/street crossings, treat inspections, etc.).
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Please forward to the Government Operations Committee for review and approval.
