PURPOSE:
To consider the appropriateness of installing a Handicap Parking space at or near 411 Weston Avenue .
BACKGROUND:
An ACR Case ID 78001 was submitted by a resident of 411 Weston Avenue requesting the installation of a Handicap Parking Space in front of the house. Presently, there is only one side of the street parking on the south side of Weston Avenue (411 is on the South side). There is a private driveway for 411 Weston Avenue.
DISCUSSION:
Past practice and policy by the City is to not place handicap parking in residential areas where private driveways are readily available and accessible. There has been no extenuating circumstance that has been voiced to staff to recommend varying from past proactice.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Based on Staff recommendation, no impact.

Staff recommends denial
