Hesed House Hike for Hesed Walk to Aurora Transportation and Back to Hesed House Using Downtown Street Sidewalks, Saturday September 17, 2016 Between 9:00am and 1:00pm.

PURPOSE:
Hesed House is requesting permission to hold its annual Hike for Hesed walk as a fundraiser to help with the costs of providing its core services.
BACKGROUND:
Hesed House has held the walk for the past 11 years.
DISCUSSION:
Hesed House is expecting 350-375 participants and 50 staff/volunteers to help with this years proposed walk and other activities planned to be held on site at Hesed House. The people participating in the walk part of the planned activities will be using sidewalks, abiding by traffic light signals, street signs, and street crossing monitors. As a condition of approval of Hesed House's request, Hesed House has been instructed and has agreed to provide a new Certificate of Insurance after July 1, 2016 and before the proposed event hold date. Hesed House is responsible for all costs associated with holding this proposed event.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
City services are not being requested to assist with the proposed walk.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Please forward to the Government Operations Committee for approval.
