Hesed House Hike for Hesed Walk, Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 9:00am to 1:00pm.

PURPOSE:
A fundraiser for Hesed House.
BACKGROUND:
Hesed House has held a Hike for Hesed walk for the past 12 years. It has included routes, which are approximately a 5K, that go from Hesed House to the downtown area and back in general and at times, to the Aurora Transportation Center in particular. The walk is just one part of the activities held for the fundraiser during the planned scheduled time. 275 people participated in 2016.
DISCUSSION:
Hesed House is expecting 350 people to participate this year in the fundraising activities and are expecting 50 staff/volunteers to help. Hesed House is responsible for all costs associated with holding this proposed event.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Although Aurora Police Department Traffic Control services will not be needed, Hesed House is expected to provide information for the participants to be knowledgeable of and abide by all pedestrian rules and safety requirements that need to be followed while using the sidewalks and crossing the streets at intersections during the walk.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
