PURPOSE:
To determine the possibility of Parking Restrictions on the 300 block of S. Buell Avenue.
BACKGROUND:
An ACR Case ID 79394 was submitted by a caller expressing concern with unrestricted parking on the 300 block of S. Buell Avenue.
DISCUSSION:
The 300 block of S. Buell Avenue has not been issued any parking restrictions except for the standard NO PARKING HERE TO CORNER signage. A visual inspection of the street on a Friday school-day revealed plenty of parking spaces available. The overall width of Buell is slightly variable but paved area width allows for restricted parking per ordinance.
It should be noted that the east side is curbed and the west side has a gravel shoulder.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Operations Department would be required to install approximately four signs.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends installation of 'No Parking This Side' for the west side of the 300 Block of Buell Avenue.
