Requesting approval for L.I.F.T. Aurora to stage the first City of Lumos: Aurora's Harry Potter Festival on Water Street Mall, Mundy Park and Millennium Plaza on July 30, 2017 from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

PURPOSE:
To bring families from Aurora and its surrounding communities to the city center for a cultural event which introduces them to the businesses and amenities offered by our downtown.
BACKGROUND:
This is a first time event coordinated by L.I.F.T. Aurora which operates Culture Stock bookstore.
DISCUSSION:
There are no direct city costs or services associated with this event.
Most portions of the event will take place rain or shine and expected attendance is 500 through the course of five hours.
A Certificate of Insurance has been provided.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Assistance with trash Monday morning from Downtown Maintenance. There are no other services requested as this time.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
I recommend the proposed event be reviewed and forwarded to the Government Operations for review and approval.
