SUBJECT:title
A Traffic Study for the Diamond Creek Lane and Pine Creek Lane intersection. Ward 9, Alderman Bugg.
body
PURPOSE:
A Traffic Study for Diamond Creek Lane and Pine Creek Lane intersection to determine the need for traffic calming.
BACKGROUND:
A Resident submitted PS # 2573989 reporting that many drivers were not coming to a full stop at the intersection mentioned above. An all way Stop has been installed at the intersection, but there are no records found of any traffic studies which would warrant that all way Stop installation.
DISCUSSION:
Both Diamond Creek Lane and Pine Creek Lane are classified as neighborhood residential roadway and have speed limits of 25 mph. Both are the standard 29.5-ft in width, and have full curb, gutter, and sidewalks on all sides. Stop bar pavement marking needs to be refreshed.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Operations responsible for stop bar refresh, APD resources and availability
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends refresh stop bar pavement marking and APD random selective enforcement
