SUBJECT:title
A Parking Study for Bittersweet Court. Ward 5, Alderman Peters
body
PURPOSE:
To determine any necessary remediation that would improve traffic flow on Bittersweet Court, especially the eastern area near Almond Drive.
BACKGROUND:
A Resident submitted ACR Case ID 100131 requesting NO PARKING THIS SIDE signage on one side of the narrow roadway near Almond Drive.
DISCUSSION:
A similar situation was reported on Larkspur Court (TS13.001), which is a few Courts to the north of Bittersweet Court. Vehicles parking on both sides of the roadway made it difficult to come and go into Bittersweet Court. No Parking signage can be installed on the Fire Hydrant side of the narrow roadway (the north side), from Almond Drive to the loop at the western end. This signage would help traffic flow on the Bittersweet Court roadway.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Operations would need to install the signage.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends installing NO PARKING THIS SIDE signage on the north side of Bittersweet Court from Almond Drive to the loop at the western end.
