SUBJECT:
An Ordinance annexing the Properties located at 6S346 and 6S356 Old Eola Road to the City of Aurora, pursuant to a Water Service Agreement (Barrier Systems Inc - 26-0229 / NA17/1-26.109 - A/WSA - JR - Ward 10)

PURPOSE:
The Petitioner, Barrier Systems Inc, is requesting to annex the properties located at 6S346 and 6S356 Old Eola Road, pursuant to Water Service Agreement.

BACKGROUND:
The subject properties are located at 6S346 and 6S356 Old Eola Road. They are currently in unincorporated DuPage County, Naperville Township. These parcels are currently being developed in DuPage County with two homes, one on each parcel. After they started the permitting process with the County, the six parcels across the street began the process to annex into the City, which makes these parcels (6S346 and 6S356 Old Eola Road) contiguous. They are now requesting water from the City, therefore, pursuant to the Water Service Agreement, the City will be requiring annexation of this property. However, we will allow them to finish building the homes within the County prior to recording the annexation of the property.

DISCUSSION:
Staff has reviewed the Annexation petition and have sent comments back to the petitioner on those submittals. The petitioner has made the requested revisions to these documents and they now meet the applicable codes and ordinances.
