Sacred Heart Church is requesting permission to conduct "Live Stations of the Cross" procession on Friday, April 18, 2014 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

PURPOSE:
The purpose of this event is to celebrate Good Friday with the community.
BACKGROUND:
This event has been a church tradition for 20+ years attracts more than 2,000 participants and is held rain or shine. The organizers work with the Police Department on traffic control and public safety. There is no past history of issues relating to the event.
DISCUSSION:
The requested processional route: begin at 771 Fulton (church parking lot) head west to Union, north to Liberty ending at St. Nicholas Church. This route has been successfully used in previous years.
There are 100 volunteers to assist with staging.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Police assistance is required as deemed necessary by the Aurora Police Department.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Please forward to the Government Operations Committee for review and approval.
