SUBJECT:
Resolution authorizing the 2019 Ward Neighborhood Cleanup Program for Wards 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 10 and Shred Events in the 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th, 9th and 10th Wards in the City of Aurora to be recommended to the Finance Committee at the February 12, 2019 meeting.

PURPOSE:
To obtain City Council approval for the 2019 Ward Neighborhood Cleanups and Shred Event Programs.

BACKGROUND:
On an annual basis, Ward Aldermen and their ward committees decide, if and when neighborhood cleanups or shred event will be held. These decisions are also based upon the funds available in the current year budget.

DISCUSSION:
The neighborhood cleanup days scheduled in 2019 are in Ward 1, 3, 5, 7 and 10. Wards 4, 5, 6, 9, 9 and 10 are anticipating shred events. Various vendors will be contacted to provide disposal services. The costs are determined by the amount of debris hauled away:

List account numbers where funds are available. In the following garbage accounts (311), (313) (315) (317) and (320)-1827-424.36.10.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Approve and forward the recommendation to the Committee of the Whole for further review and consideration.
