PURPOSE:
To authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute an agreement with Crawford, Murphy and Tilly, Inc. for Resident Inspection and Plan Review Services for New Development Public Improvements
BACKGROUND:
Crawford, Murphy and Tilly has been performing resident engineering inspection services for the City of Aurora for approximately twenty years. Their current 3-year contract expires at the end of 2013.
DISCUSSION:
This agreement provides for general engineering services as requested by the Engineering Division as well as the inspection of public improvements constructed as part of new developments throughout the city.
Funds used for these services are derived from fees charged for development projects.
The 2014 budget has established funds in account No. 101-4040-431.32-09 for these services.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
The approval of this agreement should have no adverse impact as it is a renewal of an existing contract.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
We respectfully ask that this request be forwarded to the BGI Committee for their consideration and favorable recommendation.
