Requesting approval to stage the Two Brothers Summer Festival Friday, June 20th through Sunday, June 22nd.

PURPOSE:
This event brings in many people from outside the immediate Aurora area. Anticipated attendance over the three day period is 15,000.
BACKGROUND:
This is the sixth year of the festival and the third year it is located in Aurora. The festival outgrew its Warrenville location several years ago and moved to Aurora to allow for larger crowds and bigger name talent.
DISCUSSION:
Two Brothers is looking once again for an in-kind sponsorship to assist with various staging aspects of the event.
Summer Festival proposed hours are: Friday, June 20 from 5:00 to 11:00 pm; Saturday, June 21 from Noon to 11:00 pm and Sunday, June 22 from noon to 5:00 pm.
All efforts are being made to once again make this a zero waste event. Profits are being split with half going back to the promoter and half going to various charities.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Organizers are working very closely with PACE to relocate the pulse point. There have been several meetings and an understanding has been reached with PACE.
Support services from the following departments/divisions is requested: Police, MVPS, Streets/Public Properties, Water & Sewer, Downtown Maintenance and Special Events. A detailed list is included as an attachment.
A portion of City Services requested will be charged back to the event organizers and the City will be listed as a sponsor.
An exemption of the Noise Ordinance is requested per Exemption Section 20-206. The festival will end on Friday and Saturday at 11:00 with the music ending at 10:30 pm.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
I request the proposed event be forwarded to the Government Operations Committee for approval.
