SUBJECT:title
A Parking Study for islands in various Cul-de-Sacs.  Ward 9, Alderman Bugg.
body
PURPOSE:
A Parking Study for Ward 9 Courts, specifically the island in the Court curve-around
area.

BACKGROUND:
ACR Case ID 124847 was submitted requesting parking prohibitions for anywhere on the Court island curb.

DISCUSSION:
Looking at the LOCATION maps, cars often appear parked on the inside of the cul-de-sac curve (or the island-side curb), but this parking behavior is already against the City Ordinance although not consistently enforced.

The type of restrictions was discussed with operations and a preference for long term maintenance was given toward signage rather than yellow curbing.

IMPACT STATEMENT:
Operations would be responsible for installing signage.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends NO PARKING ON ISLAND signage to be installed.
