SUBJECT:
A Resolution granting an Easement to Nicor Gas Company on the property located at 720 N. Broadway, Aurora, IL 60505 (The City of Aurora / Nicor - 14-00183 / AU15/4-14.237-M - TV - Ward 1)

PURPOSE:
Nicor Gas Company is requesting the City of Aurora to grant an easement adjacent to Route 25 at 720 N. Broadway.

BACKGROUND:
Nicor has piping from 1945 that runs along Route 25 and is requesting that the City of Aurora provide an easement that would allow Nicor to perform maintenance on an existing pipe to prevent corrosion.

DISCUSSION:
Staff has reviewed the easement, submitted by the petitioner and have sent comments back to them on those submittals. The petitioner has made all the requested changes to these documents and they now meet all of the applicable codes and ordinances.

IMPACT STATEMENT:
The Planning and Zoning Division would anticipate that this project will increase the City's overall tax base and viability by facilitating investment and development.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff would recommend APPROVAL of the Resolution granting an Easement to Nicor Gas Company on the property located at 720 N. Broadway, Aurora, IL 60505
