PURPOSE:
Washington Middle School is requesting permission to hold this proposed event as a scholarship fundraiser.
BACKGROUND:
This is the 3rd year that Washington Middle School is planning to hold this proposed event in the neighborhood surrounding the school. The run/walk has taken place on sidewalks and crossing streets at intersections. The event had 100 participants in 2015.
DISCUSSION:
Washington Middle School is responsible for all costs associated with holding this proposed event. The school is expecting 150 participants and 25 staff/volunteers to help with the event.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
No services are being requested from the City of Aurora.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Please forward to the Government Operations Committee for approval.
