A Resolution amending resolutions R19-313, R19-314, R19-315, R19-316, R19-317, R19-318, R19-319, R19-320, R19-321, R19-322, R19-323, R19-324, R19-325 and R19-326 to allow additional time to submit reimbursement requests that was outlined in Exhibit "A" Historic Preservation Grant Agreements granted on September 24, 2019.
PURPOSE:
The purpose of this Resolution is to move the deadline for contractors to complete work and homeowners to submit the reimbursement requests from September 1, 2020 to December 1, 2020.
BACKGROUND:
The City of Aurora executed the following fourteen historic preservation grant agreements:
- Marcus and Jennifer for 77 S. View Street by R19-313
- Todd and Erin Spencer for 102 N. View Street by R19-314
- Ilda Valdez for 112 S. 4th Street by R19-315
- Anne and Thomas Ringrose for 203 N. View Street by R19-316
- George Padgen and Susan Kubira for 204 S. Lincoln Avenue by R19-317
- Jean and Mike McKee for 325 Sunset Avenue by R19-318
- Jason Redelman for 351 Lawndale Avenue by R19-319
- Laura L. Perry for 415 Oak Avenue by R19-320
- Jordan Jeffries for 424 W. New York Street by R19-321
- Westin Trevor McMaken for 435 W. New York Street by R19-322
- Ariana Romualdo for 437 E. Downer Place by R19-323
- Oscar and Sarai Aceves for 453 Iowa Avenue by R19-324
- Ramon Prado, Jr. for 518 Oak Avenue by R19-325
- Donna L. Rubar for 702 Palace Street by R19-326
Exhibit "A" Historic Preservation Grant Agreements contained Section 7.1 (b) being an owners obligation section requiring the project to be completed in a timely manner in order to allow for the submittal of all reimbursement requests prior to September 1, 2020. Due to the shutdowns and delays caused by COVID-19, grantees are asking until December 1, 2020 to comply with the above deadline.
