Requesting approval of additional street closures and barricades to #15-00208 for the Friends of LaSalle Street Historic Auto Row Car Show on August 23, 2015.

PURPOSE:
Due to the popularity and support from local veterans associations it has become necessary to request additional barricades and street closures.
BACKGROUND:
This is the first time the event has expanded beyond the block of LaSalle between Downer and Benton.
DISCUSSION:
The organizers would like to expand the street closure to include: LaSalle from Galena to Clark (leaving the intersection at Downer open) and Benton from Broadway to Lincoln.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
Street Department to drop off additional barricades at the following LaSalle Street locations on Friday, August 21 and pick up on Monday, August 24: 2 at Galena; 4 at Downer; 4 at Benton, 2 at Clark, 2 at Broadway and 2 at Lincoln. This is in addition to the previous request in March.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
I request the additional assistance request be forwarded to the Government Operations Committee for review and approval.
