SUBJECT:
Requesting approval for Main Baptist Church to have a Music Festival for Family & Friends Festival which will be held on Saturday, September 26 & 27th, 2015.
PURPOSE:
Main Baptist Church is located at Second Avenue and will holding the Roots Aurora Event on Saturday, September 28, 2015. As part of this event, Family Focus would like to have live musical entertainment, which requires City Council approval prior to the issuance of a permit,
BACKGROUND:
This year event will include three Musical Bands, food, and games.
DISCUSSION:
Our office has received a complete application for this event, including a certificate of Insurance, event layout, and certificates of completion of Crowd Management training courses. Family Focus has also submitted an application for an assembly operational permit, and an inspection of the site will be conducted prior to the event.
The event will take place at 814 E Galena Blvd. The hours of operations for the Festival will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and the music will be played from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is my recommendation that this item be referred to the Government Operations Committee for their next meeting on September 8, 2015.
