PURPOSE:
Granger Middle School is requesting permission to conduct a 5K run and 1 mile walk to raise funds for the school fitness center.
BACKGROUND:
This is the 4th year the school is planning to hold the event and is expecting 700-900 participants and use approximately 50 volunteers.
DISCUSSION:
The activities will be based at Granger Middle School and the route will run on streets in the Stonebridge neighborhood. The event organizers are responsible for expenses related to holding this event.
IMPACT STATEMENT:
The organizers of the event are requesting services from the Aurora Police Department Traffic Control Division and the Aurora Fire Department Paramedics.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Please forward to the Government Operations Committee for review and approval.
