A Resolution authorizing the appointment of Zayra Juarez, Cynthia Rocha, Jennifer Orta, Eduardo Orozco, Raquel Rodriguez, Melissa Sosa and Lizet Zuniga to the Aurora Hispanic Heritage Advisory Board.

BACKGROUND:
Staggered Terms: The dates are intentionally staggered to ensure board continuity and prevent all terms from expiring at the same time.
Future Terms: Following this initial "start-up" period, all members will be appointed for standard 3-year terms.
DISCUSSION:
The nominations brought forth today represent seven new candidates, all residents of Aurora.

WHEREAS, the City of Aurora has a population of more than 25,000 persons and is, therefore, a home rule unit under subsection (a) of Section 6 of Article VII of the Illinois Constitution of 1970; and
WHEREAS, subject to said Section, a home rule unit may exercise any power and perform any function pertaining to its government and affairs for the protection of the public health, safety, morals, and welfare; and
