body
PURPOSE:
The petitioners, Matthew and Heather Johnson, are proposing an Easement Agreement between the City of Aurora and Matthew and Heather Johnson for a Temporary Construction Easement to allow for sanitary sewer improvements on the property located at 10 S. Calumet Avenue.  In addition, they will also be granting a Permanent City Easement on said property for future maintenance of the sanitary sewer.

DISCUSSION:
The attached easement is required to allow for the replacement of the existing sanitary sewer located within private property.  The existing sewer is in poor condition and in need of replacement.

IMPACT STATEMENT:
Without the easement, the City will not be able to replace the existing sewer and residents in the area will continue to experience sewer backups within their basements.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff would recommend APPROVAL of the Easement Agreement between the City of Aurora and Matthew and Heather Johnson for a Temporary Construction Easement and for a Permanent City Easement at 10 S. Calumet Avenue by Matthew and Heather Johnson.
